Log Horizon Season 2 Review | Slide Mouse
I really dislike the new studio s art style.
Log horizon season 2 review. The second season continues to do that in a similar fashion. Log horizon season 2 official trailer request an anime for review here log horizon s first season left me on a positive note. Overall it s still worth watching but what where they thinking when they created. I loved the focus on the mechanics and social aspects of an mmo world rather than championing action above all else like we see in most of the genre.
There is also a heavy theme that pertains to one of my favorite things in massive multi player online games raids. Log horizon s strong suit was never its characters. Of course the second season slows the pace down to a crawl and manages to be far more fluffy. Reviewed in the united states on july 23 2018 just as good as the first season.
Now i ve returned to finish the job by reviewing the second half of this fantasy anime. I haven t revisited the anime since and haven t even thought about it until the creator s tax evasion news reminded me the show existed. Log horizon 2 develops shiroe akatsuki and the kids a little bit but it takes way too long to do so. It was the world and its mmo aspects that made the show interesting.
Log horizon season 2. In season 2 log horizon explored the plot even deeper like how the adventurers being there effects the people of the land their politics and economy. The characters looks more cheaply done and the content of the first episode didn t hook me at all. So the fact that we spend so much time on one of the less interesting parts of log horizon hurts the show immensely.
I m almost puking season 2 is actually so bad that it dropped my rating a whole 2 stars. A common complaint about the first season is that things move too slow and that there is too much fluff in log horizon. Season 2 came out and i didn t make it through the first episode. A disappointing second season that feels like the director script writers had no idea where mamare touno is planning to go with the story of log horizon so just adapted enough to pad out the 25 episode run time hope that the audience figures out how it all connects together themselves there are some good episodes it explores interesting ideas or brings them up at least but ultimately they don t add up to 25 episodes worth of content.
But no it isn t even the good kind of fluff where it is light hearted fun or cheerfully romantic or philosophically deep.
